The monster with steel grey eyes and a white beard covers it with a sheet. “Keep it under wraps. The elections are just a month away.”

“Who killed him?” A third voice joins the melee.

It was Truth, I think silently. Outwardly, I say that the culprit is yet to be booked.

The grey-eyed monster directs the rotund man to dig a grave inside the palace, which may be in the deepest basement only historians will reach after the present team is gone.

I know the murderer will be crucified, for he dared to kill Reputation.

    1. All those who have secrets tend to shake hands with opponents at some point. But the gullible public is unable to guess or just doesn’t want to. They consume all facts with a confirmation bias.
