#longpostalert
Thanks to Lisa for hosting a very unusual prompt. As I see it, the topic is too vast to be covered in a single poem.
And that exactly is the problem with signals from the universe. There are too many signals, and we may not always read or interpret the right ones.
My coach trainer gave us 75 cards with a question, a value and sentence printed on it. The process involved pulling a card before starting a coaching conversation, and try and bring that value into the interaction. Results are better when we go along with the universal energy rather than fighting it.
I pulled out the following two cards and am befuddled by it.
I draw comfort from the fact that the same line appears at the bottom in both cards – “Everything will turn out all right.”
Now, the poem ….
messages concealed in unseen forms
flying, flowing with the wind
only some flow in my direction
I’m not sure which doors, windows
would be open or close
to let them in
After all, I have my pride
preconceived notions to ride
plans and decisions sacrament
Why would I let winds make a dent
In my infallible self-esteem?
(In my heart of hearts, I think of all the times I failed)
There’s not just one message, but more
contradictory to the core
I need to think outside the box
repeat a thought till it comes inside
right inside my comfort zone
When truth takes charge, examines facts
exclaims in distress; it’s not the whole
fiction has filled up gaps meanwhile
using nothing but what – just Tact
Who am I to decide
What is fiction, what is fact?
signals garbled in polluted minds
God throws hints; humans rescind

Reena, it seems to me that the signs are everywhere but it isn’t the logical aspect of the mind that recognizes them as much as an intangible part, one that is tapped into collective unconsciousness, and in order to allow the intangible part to detect them it needs to be free from the grip of logical thinking. I enjoyed reading your poem and find the training cards interesting. Those kinds of group training sessions, where people from different companies/agencies/professions sit around to dialogue from their particular perspectives, are always enlightening.

Though, what has to be fitting, cannot be by God, right? 🙂
Ai enjoyed your last line:
“God throws hints; humans rescind”

I love that the last line is the same! It’s the truth in most cases.

Yes. The beauty of chaos is that everything finds its own place.

I think those cards can be used for poetry… the sentiment that everything will turn out right really resonates with me.
