“Hmmm. Whatever happened is unfortunate and we are willing to condone the mistake, provided it never gets into the public eye – for if it does, you will be in the dock.” The top honcho speaks in a grave manner.
“What do we do to keep it under wraps?” the offender averts his gaze and asks in a low voice.
Activate all machineries to scale up the chaos – corruption scandals, accidents, attacks on a prominent public figure and allow people to react and generate controversies. Let them write their own stories on your projections and fight each other.
Silently, the assistant hands over a document titled, “How to tilt public opinion”, but the honcho dismisses it with a wave of his hand.
“Those who enter politics know how to survive, by splashing un-erasable black ink on others.”

A sad epitaph for our lives and times, isn’t it.

What’s in the water this week here in Sixville?
lol (Sadje had a similar take on the prompt word.)
I suspect the same thinking informed my own Six, at least the first one.
While we, as individuals, may not be able to wrest power from the hands of the too-powerful, to know them for what they truly are and sharing that view is a positive, if not possibly risky thing to do.
