Anachronism

souls stuck on the wrong side
of the time machine
struggle and writhe in pain
not knowing why they don’t belong
why are they punished
for just being themselves

I am the concept
I am the script
I am the beginning and end
to make people understand
value is derived
only from context

everything else
is created by gods
caught in bad moods
-arcs meant to fit in
non-existent circles
-dictionaries with puzzles
disguised as words
-cycles of birth and death
in search of parking slots

  1. I love the description of anachronism as ‘souls stuck on the wrong side / of the time machine’, Reena, and the idea that ‘everything else / is created by gods / caught in bad moods’ and ‘cycles of birth and death / in search of parking slots’.
