Of mirrors and kaleidoscopes

Art: Portrait of Eivind Eckbo” painted in 1914:

multiple identities
multiple mirrors
I often forget
how to greet myself

solitude
a scary vacuum
clueless about my value
a trophy on the shelf

Art: “Portrait of Mary Alice Eckbo” painted in 1914

kaleidoscope of dreams
forces my step
I charge ahead
with multiple hands
to grab destiny

  1. Love that you’ve used two paintings here…..few words but very powerful and with personal meaning when it’s written from the first person. It’s true, right? Sometimes we do feel fragmented.
