thick boundary lines
neatly drawn with
labels in legible fonts
navigating through life,
work and leisure
all such a pleasure
and then I stumble
on bleeding lines
screaming for attention
the most difficult to read
decipher and walk through
is the map of emotions

It’s all a balancing act from what I’ve experienced. Those bloody emotions can sure disrupt. Can’t live without them though even though it seems so often the forces of darkness try to make us afraid of them.

A lifelong challenge is to induce order in chaos. This is one of those.

“Map of emotions.” Wrapped it up beautifully. The human condition.

Emotions, are there when we least want them.

To neutralize the effect of so much more. It can work both ways

That map is the world’s most complex, and maybe the maps we have are as a medieval map, with a lot of white territories filled with monsters and beasts.

I like how you brought monsters and beasts in. I wonder how positive emotion too becomes harmful when confronted with something different from itself.

Some of the hardest maps to read, for sure. And ever-changing lines.

Seems impossible at times, as each person responds differently.

Well said, Reena. There are rules and plans for everything else, but no clear map of emotions.
