They handed me the iron sceptre 
told me I am in charge of Hell
they said no better chance exists 
to make the Punishments dwell.

When I held the rod of justice 
Judgement rested a heavy crown
Duty died within my throat 
every tragedy made me frown.

The burden of a countless souls
required deep advisement
words faltered as I pronounced 
the horrid Ledgers of chastisement. 

I put away the iron sceptre 
plugged my ears to tune out the screams
Hell erupted in chaos and violence
there was no bigger Sinner than me. 

Curse this wretched heart within
for Compassion became my death knell
unhand me the iron sceptre 
telling me I am in charge of Hell.
