RANDOM DAWNINGS OF NEW DREAMS
A New Year brings with it
Promises of New Dawnings
Interspersed with
Drowsy yawnings
As it sleepily emerges
Into life
From last year’s slumber
With it’s random dreams
On our mind’s cinema screens
If we’re willing
To stop fawning
Over the year that is past
You’ll stop spawning
The same results
Eliminate the drama
And inner tumult
Time to tear asunder
Old habits
And break through the glass
Ceiling
Of your self-imposed limitations
Otherwise
New Dawnings
will become
Chasms yawning
Of could have beens.
Should’ve beens
Chances to change
Won’t keep falling
Into your lap
Time to tap
Into your potential
It’s enlightening
It’s exponential
