“Neurotic projection was only a phrase for me, before I saw Manan practicing it regularly. I’m accused of things which are so evident in his own behavior – maybe it relieves him of guilt or inadequacy, but it’s getting completely intolerable,” I sense desperation in her message.
Is she asking for professional help? Will it change her outlook on the not-so-smooth relationship between her father and me, and which she always wanted to improve?
I need to extricate myself from knots before I can help my daughter, for she is ….. not destined to suffer the consequences of her father’s Karma … or mine.
She is an independent being, not a shadow of my perspectives.

One of the harder parts of parenting: placing one hand on their shoulders, and the other over our own mouths.
Listening helps!

A deeply perceptive telling of the role of a mother who also has her own knots to solve so that, in her response to her daughter, she does not perpetuate these knots.

Faith and science work as the script of life for me, as the beginnings of our attempts to order the universe.

Wealth, yes…. 3 generations spend their lives earning, multiplying, accumulating …the following ones squander. Do you think it applies to non-material things as well?

Wow… You have beautifully captured the angst of the parent of an adult child… We never stop worrying and oh, it’s hard to know when to offer support and when to step back and let them figure things out…😕💕💕💕

A good six. I like the line …”she is… not destined to suffer the consequences of her father’s Karma…” And of course none of us are…
