pouring creativity in routines
letting thoughts emerge
classifying, reclassifying
accepting, rejecting
enshrining, embalming
relegating to bins
out of my mind, but
indestructible on the web
bringing perspectives to life
feigning empathy
while being engrossed
in my own pathos
Is this all work
or life?

“feigning empathy” I often wonder is life all about lies!

Feigning because empathy is an illusion. We never what exactly is someone else going through. It’s our imagination.

Reena, it may be an illusion, but as one of my net buddies told me many years ago, “it’s real enough.” (we were talking about fairy tales and myths, but I think it applies to one’s virtual life as well.) It still feels good to support others and be supported.

Not always, but sometimes we have had similar experiences so it is not difficult to understand their perspective.

Love this reflective piece! One might also turn the question around a bit and ask, “Is all life work?” Who does not have to work at living?
