I Am Not Russian

My grandparents on my mom’s side both spoke Russian and when I was young, they told me that I was part Russian.  My Grandfather’s parents were from Belarus and it was known as White Russia after the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, when it was part of the Soviet Union.  It still has close ties to Russia and it is considered to be a puppet of Russia, with its current leaders doing everything they are told by them.  My Grandmothers parents came from Kiev in the Ukraine and they were also part of the Soviet Union at one time, but now they are an independent country which Russia has invaded because their leader Putin is deranged.  He wants to capture the former grandeur that the Soviet Union once had and he has convinced himself that the Ukraine belongs to Russia.  My ancestors all arrived here in the US in the late 1800s, so…
