Still photographs are out. Videos are in. Friends, prospective employers, partners all want to see the vibrancy of a personality, not a frozen mood clicked from wrong angles.
But this prompt took me back by two years. The lockdown had just started, and I enrolled in a charcoal drawing class online.
Placing still objects at an angle where they throw the right kind of reflections, and then capturing it in black and white was a challenge. It changed the way I look at still objects forever.

Light and shadows are the most important and difficult parts of any photographs, sketching, or, painting. Looks you have mastered it. Beautiful image and the words.

Learning to look at objects, and people, without letting our past thoughts intrude, might be a hard lesson, but well worth the effort.

I guess similes, metaphors and personification all originate from imposing our thoughts on objects.
