She spied me outside the parking garage, in old down town. She was pressed up against a recently repainted wall, another attempt to ‘revitalize’ the area. Good luck there, and avoid stepping on the endemic hypodermic needles. As she seemed to be staring at me and didn’t look only half crazy, I asked her “What are you looking for, pray tell, little lady?” She didn’t miss a beat, “you, Artie, I’ve been looking for you”. “Are you sure you’re not looking for Stu?” I replied, not meaning to throw my brother in spirit under the svelte wheels of this lithe coupe clad in clingy gray barely there. “I mean that’s more probable,” I continued “web searches mix up our photos and you’re more his type.” I immediately figured as the words ‘more his type’ flew from my mouth I had poked a hornet’s next.
