Prompt line given by Linda Lee Lyberg and chosen from Poetics: Songs of Unreason
DUALITY
“In truth each day is a universe in which we are tangled in the light of stars.”- Horses, Jim Harrison
In truth each day is a universe in which we are tangled in the light of stars. unknown as potential mysterious as the night spangled in starlight intangible as the soul immeasurable as the future unappreciated as spiritual power But…I choose to construct a falsehood and breathe in it to make sense of life eliminate strife between faith and reason body and soul have a goal And… I accept the duality of days and nights of fate and acumen of gods and humans

Life is full of dualities and paradoxes, and you do well to accept them!

Like the voice of confession in this piece. We are all complex beings – owning it begins the unchaining.
