Grant a voice ….by Aishwarya

I wasn’t a solitudinarian,
Always up and about,
Meeting people, visiting places,
Up and about,
Now, I have been carved,
A mythical creature’s design,
A design they deemed desirable.
I wasn’t a solitudinarian,
I am on the lookout, now,
Of a person to talk to,
While, they just stand in awe of my uncommon self,
I try to belong,
I try to speak,
I try to wave,
Amongst them, yet aloof,
Standing in the Sun, all day,
Isolated,
Burns me inside out,
Burnout,
Grant a voice, I want to talk.
