Just wondering

When I was young,

All that I wanted to be was an adult,

With no worry of homework in sight,

The grass looked greener on the other side,

Now that I’m one,

Realisation has dawned that the grass may be greener, but it’s constant work to keep it so,

All that I do now is work from home, work for home.

This finite life is taken for granted,

Infinite it is deemed to be,

Forgetting joys are to be cherished,

And worries are to be shelved,

Burdens of the world leans on every fragile shoulder.

Come into the world solo, but seek recognition lifelong,

Safeguard our close ones, closing them to those innermost anxieties,

Anticipation of birth cheers, even though everything is an unknown,

Brutality of Death scares, even though end is known,

Isn’t death just birth at another realm?
