All those on whom expectations hinged
Sold out for lucre, hopes of masses singed

Do you think your tears will vanquish fires
Conflagrations will dry them up, and not tire

We hadn’t done a picture prompt for quite sometime, so here it is

मिर्च मसाला देकर खबरी  कैसी छापे न्यूज़ 

हाथ में आते ही अख़बार जल गये

बुद्धिजीवी और शुद्धजीवी जब मनमर्जी तब बोलें

अपना अपना अहम् लिए  बहसों में खो गए  

जो जो मांगे न्याय बंद सलाखों पीछे 

पोलिस नेता मिलकर कैसा खेल खेल गए 

मांगे न्याय आत्मजन परिजन देकर सच की दुहाई 

चप्पल घिस गयी जेबें खाली घर बार बिक गए 

जिनसे न्याय की आस लगाए जनता जोहे बाट 

वो तो कब के धनियों के गुलाम हो गए 

सोचा था आह औरआंसुओं से बुझ जाएगी आग 

दावानल कब बुझे पानी से आंसू ही सूख गए
