“I transferred the money to her account. She has to return it.” I could see only the accusing finger in the courtroom, and then her well-moisturised ankle.
She hushed up facts about the investment that ran into a loss, and it being in my name, because she expressed inability to sign papers on a working day. What I saw as my sister’s trust turned into a false accusation.
And this after the month she spent in my house with her fractured ankle, and all that I did for her.
I’d to bear the double loss – money and a relationship.

A very engaging story that left me a bit irked by the sister.
Amazing how blood sometimes thins out so that it disappears.

Money behaviour is just an indicator of the total personality.

It sounds as if they’re both adults. He had no inkling of her (lack of) character prior to helping her out? Sad.

You never really know who you can trust until the relationship is tested in fire

Dear Reena,
Both are devastating losses. Although money can possibly be recouped. Not as easy with a relationship. Nicely done.
