Nothing more and nothing less

Scared to let go of what’s in hand,

Are we shying away from the new opportunities eager to let itself in?

Holding on to rose-tinted glasses,

Are we stopping ourselves from seeing our flawed side?

Preserving memories of only our successes,

Are we only eyeing the winner’s pedestal forever?

Nothing was gained, holding onto yesterday,

Nothing will be discovered, being frightful of tomorrow,

Live and learn in the present,

Everything is only defined by that we can perceive,

Nothing more and nothing less.
