creativity
efficiency – are they
different domains?
I look at this magnificent concrete structure and think the architect has done a wonderful job. There were hundreds of people to support –civil engineers, technicians and labourers who implemented the architect’s ideas. Where does the creativity lie?
It must have taken some imagination to put the bricks together, and sequence the tasks. A cook needs experience and imagination to decide the intensity of heat, and the exact time an ingredient remains in the cooking medium.
Is creativity all about the drawing board?
who taught a lone ant
to store food for next season
to carry a leaf?

A beautiful arrangement of the haiku and focus on complimentary nature of labor 🙂

I love the way you balance the work of creative to that of the physical labor… both are dependent of the other, and we need to put value in both.

Thank you, Bjorn! Leaders need followers and ideators need people to implement those.

I really like this haibun as my youngest son recently took a job as an architectural technician/draftsman for a housing developer. Everyone’s work must fit together to succeed!
