News reports say the plane crash landed.
The pilot alone knows the truth. He was searching for Atlantis, which does not exist. Blame it on Ayn Rand, and the false hopes she built about an ideal world, in her epic work Atlas Shrugged.
All said and done, life would never be the same again. Nor would it have been the same, if he had found the place.
Suddenly, in the solitude of the dense forest, truth dawnsβ¦.
He did not find anything, but discovered the truth. The ideal does not exist. We have to create our reality, for the sake of our own sanity. Ayn Rand was doing just that.

I haven’t read Atlas Shrugged. Would you suggest it?

It depends on your taste. I couldn’t put it down at one stage, since descriptions of personalities ans situations were so realistic. Now I know the idealism propounded does not work.
