Whatever I feared all my life as painful, is not so. The transition is smooth, and I find myself in a place that looks like an empty waiting room.
I choose the first chair on the left, for getting a good view of new entrants. I hear a scream before I can sit. This is the colleague whom I’d replaced at work, after a lot of manipulation and deceit.
I’m scared now. This room has invisible inhabitants, and maybe …. I’m answerable to some of them … maybe all.
Death is not so easy after all. There are scores to be settled, and carried forward to the future.

Well written.
