a few more marks
left on the world
a few more lessons learnt
a few more breaths spent
I cannot assess
the exact impact
-parameters being
frequently redefined
another year
another cake
another birthday
I celebrate life….

Reena,
A few more marks on the world….I wonder about the marks I’m leaving on the world. Are some benefiting or not? I guess I’ll never know but it makes me wonder. Nice job on the poem with the word prompt.

Thank you, Cathy! ‘Benefiting’ is a relative term. But we do leave an impact with our actions. Thoughts go with us, unless translated into some kind of work.
