walls painted
by
innocent beliefs
encase dusty scripts
unchanged
through centuries
entertaining less
programming more
mindsets
I see a witty child
painting a fresh clue
to the kind of world
she wants
reverberating
with merriment
not satire
or villainous interjections
sheβd rather leave that
to those
who have seen
too much of life
paint peeling off
from idealism
on the wall
What do they see?

Wow! A profound and superb piece, Reena! I love the last 2 verses because I find it enlightening to think newer generations will project new and creative ideas. Thank you for joining the challenge! π
