Consecration

I am building a memorial for my dog – just installing a marble temple on her grave. It is to consecrate the relationship we shared with her – of unconditional love for one another. It might not hold any meaning for anyone after I die, because the value lies in my mind.

There are people who die for a cause, and add value to many other lives in the process. The memorials are turned into public places, to propagate the value that once existed, to preserve the higher realms of humanity and keep them alive in human consciousness.

Many such structures are destroyed, for they lost relevance. Institutions, charities, annual events are all set up as memorials. At times, I see the value which the person stood by, being blatantly flouted by the people who are supposed to carry them forward.

    1. It is not actually arrogance, just being focussed on the immediate. They don’t believe in drawing wisdom from anywhere other than a digital source of their choice.
