(poetry)

Beneath turbulent skies, 

flesh exposed to elements

shivering from fresh wounds,

her lonely heart wept in silence

as she escaped his inhumane torture.

She bathed in the brownish grey soot of the earth

and intertwined her nakedness 

within the confines of vines, branches, and roots
