Tanya sparked off a movement which assumed epic proportions across the world. She has come back to the country which humiliated her, to stand by her long-suffering sisters and give them a voice.
“Quote your price for leaving the country again, never to return,” this is a message from one of the culprits she worked with in the past.
“Restore my lost innocence” is her curt reply.
She knows that the #MeToo movement is a point of no return for her. Will the country allow the culprits to lead a normal life, while the victims suffered in full public view?
It’s Six Sentence Story Thursday Link Up!

Excellent story! Whistle blowing of any kind is difficult, but with the precedent of misogyny that is in place, women who come forward are some of the bravest of the brave.

Yes. They have to live with it for the rest of their life. It is about fighting for truth and facing consequences, not just speaking the truth.

They should. I would be very disappointed to see the movement fizzle out, and old conduct restored..

An excellent SSS and Tanya knows what she needs to do and how she needs to keep speaking out about this horrific subject.

If it’s possible, I agree with both Violet and Clark. There is no getting it (innocence) back. Seems to me, once gone, it’s how one moves forward in the wake of the loss that will either honor or marginalize it.
Your Six Sentence Stories always give me pause. Thank you for that 🙂

to follow off Violent’s comment, is innocence truly lost or is it altered, for surely innocence remembered is not lost, just forever out of reach.
thought-provoking Six as usual.

It is altered. Resentment creeps in, and the world is no longer beautiful. Thank you, Clark!
