Immoral

Tanya sparked off a movement which assumed epic proportions across the world. She has come back to the country which humiliated her, to stand by her long-suffering sisters and give them a voice.

“Quote your price for leaving the country again, never to return,” this is a message from one of the culprits she worked with in the past.

“Restore my lost innocence” is her curt reply.

She knows that the #MeToo movement is a point of no return for her. Will the country allow the culprits to lead a normal life, while the victims suffered in full public view?

  1. Excellent story! Whistle blowing of any kind is difficult, but with the precedent of misogyny that is in place, women who come forward are some of the bravest of the brave.

  2. If it’s possible, I agree with both Violet and Clark. There is no getting it (innocence) back. Seems to me, once gone, it’s how one moves forward in the wake of the loss that will either honor or marginalize it.
Your Six Sentence Stories always give me pause. Thank you for that 🙂

  3. to follow off Violent’s comment, is innocence truly lost or is it altered, for surely innocence remembered is not lost, just forever out of reach.
