Cata doxa

Bozo growled and Kitty mewed loud in protest, when I said it was raining cats and dogs outside. They were safe and cosy in their beds, and ready to sleep.

“Mom, please do your research before you speak. I don’t like my babies being upset.”

“Will you do that for me?”

“Yes. The word is ‘cata doxa’ which means not experienced before. The rains are not new to us. Can’t you just say it is raining heavily?”
