Breathing free

hold your breath

as I exit mine

life asphyxiated

in a maze of tubes

-in the doldrums

but the mind runs

I crave

stability

if death offers it

I believe in

eternity of soul

if there’s a way to show it

let me go in peace

so that we all live

-maybe at different levels

and co-exist

hold your breath

as I exit mine

life liberated

from the maze of tubes

  4. Oh, so true, Reena. I wonder if we’ll ever be totally free from unnecessary chaos. Seems “in the doldrums” is becoming a state of mind that is difficult to shake. Superb writing and thank you for joining in. Your posts are always full of wisdom.
