Inheritance

She was born with a talent to sketch. Her businessman father often joked,

“Your artist grandpa’s creative genes bypassed me to reach you. Your children will probably get into business – like me.”

“Dad, I’ll make sure they get creative. It is a challenge I accept.”

They would guffaw loudly, as they moved to the dining table together.

She never told him about this secret gallery – where her creations are on display. She made them all for an unborn child – the child who would never come into this world. The doctor has just advised her to adopt a baby, as she was incapable of conceiving. The adopted baby will enjoy the art for sure, but will s/he …..?
