Fluidity of Thought

There were reports of people visiting an artist’s house and disappearing. Inspector Sherman stepped into the house gingerly, for investigations.

The renowned artist, Shejin was an affable old man, who entertained the inspector with mulled wine. Sherman saw this fantabulous piece on the mantelpiece, and asked him about the significance. Shejin smiled, but his voice appeared to be coming from afar,

“Experience becomes fluidity of thought, as each micro-episode changes us as an individual. Concepts can never be permanent. Frameworks inhibit the thought process.”

“Interesting! Now let’s come down to brass tacks. This man is reported to have visited your house last Tuesday.” He was holding a picture in hand.

“Yes. He did. He left in an hour.”

“Any clue about where was he going?”

“Ah, young man… there you are imposing a framework on the thought process. It won’t take you far.”

Sherman’s mind was abuzz as he visualized a similarity between the man who disappeared and this piece. Suddenly, he felt himself freezing. He wanted to scream, but there was no sound …..
