Moments

I am intrigued by the life of a moment, a speck in that unfathomable monster called Time.

Time is re-interpreted several times, as humans struggle to understand the exact nature of the relationship. Where is the axis? Who is moving against whom? Does it exist, or is it a concept we created to measure the movement of the planets? We are obsessed with measuring things – life, objects, impact, length, breadth and depth of every experience. It is not possible, without inventing a parameter.

But a MOMENT? It arrives, adds value to lives and disappears. Does it live and die, or just passes through our consciousness, moving into another realm of existence? Moments that we perceive as the bricks and mortar of Time, are so ephemeral.

Birth acquires significance, only with sustainability called life. One needs to embark on a journey, touch other lives and make an impact, or one’s presence is not registered in the world.

Moments are born. Moments add value. Moments pass away in a flash, but they do live …. if in another unknown realm.

I will ask a moment next time,

“Where have you lived before? Tell us quickly before you disappear again, to be reborn.”

  1. Reena this is a fabulous piece. I especially liked this part:

So much to meditate on. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom with us.
