“I thought you would never want to see me again.”

“Tell me, why did you bring me to that stage?”

“I was reshuffling priorities in my life.”

“That is exactly what I want to do today – lay to rest all ghosts that trouble me.”

He moved away, looking scared.

“Don’t worry! I am not out to kill you. I am just killing that part of you, which lives within me. And meeting you again has helped me do that.”

“I will forever remain grateful for that.”

They walked away, without turning back to look at each other a last time.
